Important Notes for 2027–28 Intake:
To be eligible for admission to the Taught Postgraduate Curricula in the Faculty, applicants should normally possess a Bachelor’s degree of this University in a relevant field such as engineering, sciences, mathematics, statistics, business studies, or the equivalent ; or a qualification of equivalent standard from this University or another comparable institution accepted for this purpose.
In addition to satisfying the requirements for admission to the curriculum concerned, an applicant who is seeking admission on the basis of a qualification from a university or comparable institution outside Hong Kong of which the language of teaching and/or examination is not English is required to obtain the equalivant examination results. Initial Payment
Upon accepting the offer, students must pay a deposit covering the first instalment of the composition fee, caution money, and the annual student activity fee (for full-time students only). The first instalment will be credited toward the total composition fee.
Composition Fee Payment Structure
The composition fee is payable in instalments based on the study mode: two instalments for 1-year full-time study, three instalments for 1.5-year full-time study, and four instalments for 2-year part-time study.
Billing & Payment Instructions
After the add/drop period, students will receive an invoice from the Finance Office with detailed payment instructions, which they should review carefully.
Fees Beyond Normative Study Period
Tuition fees will continue to be charged on a semester basis beyond the normative study period. However, if students are only retaking failed courses, they will be charged repeating fees instead. For MSc(Eng) programmes (except MSc(Eng)(LAT)), the fee is HKD 3,480 per credit for local students and HKD 5,210 per credit for non-local students. For MSc(Eng)(LAT), the fee is HKD 3,340 per credit for local students and HKD 5,000 per credit for non-local students.
Refund Policy
All fees once paid are non-refundable and non-transferable.
