The Master of Science in Engineering in Sustainability Engineering [MSc(Eng)(SE)] prepares students to address pressing sustainability challenges and support the transition towards a low-carbon future. The programme adopts a transdisciplinary approach that integrates sustainability science, green engineering, circular economy principles, and strategic management. Students develop expertise in areas such as renewable energy, resource optimisation, green technologies, sustainable finance, and AI-enabled sustainability solutions. Through immersive learning at the Kadoorie Centre, hands-on projects, industry collaborations, and engagement with sustainability experts, students gain both technical and practical skills to drive innovation across energy, manufacturing, environmental, and urban systems, and to become future leaders in sustainable development.
Important Note:
Please note that most classes are conducted at the Kadoorie Centre, HKU, in Yuen Long, rather than on HKU’s Main Campus. Applicants are encouraged to review the location and transportation arrangements before submitting their application.
